Paul LaRochelle is a 40-plus year fire service veteran who has worked as a volunteer, paid call, and full time firefighter in rural and suburban settings. He is a 30-year member of and a lieutenant with the Worcester, MA Fire Department. LaRochelle is an instructor for PL Vulcan Fire Training Concepts and the Massachusetts Fire Academy as well the inventor of the FEDS forcible door.

Why FEDS was formed

While teaching forcible entry classes I learned that I wasn't happy with the products on the market. I wanted to design a door that felt like you were forcing an actual door.
